Rocks roll down hill

Have you ever had one of those days. The type of day when everything goes wrong from almost the minute you get up to the time you go to bed? Believe it or not everybody has. Its interesting that many people think that annoying, bad things only happen to them. The truth is that annoying, bad and sometimes more than bad things happen to all people of every gender and race on an almost regular basis.

Lets explore this little talked about fact that bad things happen to everyone. Is this hard for you to believe. I can hear you thinking that some people have it made and everything goes right in their life. Well lets think this out. The president of the United States is the most powerful person in the world right? No matter what you think of his politics he’s pretty high up there. He’s the commander in chief of the most powerful military in the world. He has a big jet and lots of money. Recently the President of Venezuela stood at a podium in the United Nations and called Mr. Bush the devil and basically used words to tear Mr. Bush apart. This man from Venezuela came all the way from his country to New York to rank on the most powerful guy in our country.

How do you think Mr. Bush felt? No matter what he said in public, Mr. Bush could not have enjoyed the remarks and I think all of us can understand why. How would you feel if the guy next to you on the bus just gave you a dirty look or someone told you that you looked tired?

Unfortunately, because we live in a fallen world things will go wrong. We have to, and most of us do after a few days of stewing, get over the small stuff. But what happens when the small stuff continues for weeks, months or even years at a time? The real problems start.

Have you ever seen a cartoon where someone rolls a snowball down a steep hill? What happens? The snow ball starts off small and quickly not only builds up speed, but becomes bigger. While that snow ball races down the hill it knocks over everybody in its path.

I won’t give you all the answers. Some of the answers to your problems are hidden in this text for you to find. Ask yourself what is the cause of any misfortune in my life and how can it be stopped or lessened. The good news is that there are good people in this world and they are all around you. There are ways to turn your life around if you would only look. There are blessings and curses. Choose to be blessed.
